Due to the progressive loss of effectiveness with usage and over time, the filter of CPAP machines should be changed regularly.

The filters of Ecostar CPAP machines should be replaced at least every six months of usage, although this period may be reduced in dusty, dirty, or high-particulate environments. A visual inspection should be done every one or two months, and if it appears saturated, it should be replaced immediately. If it's not saturated, it should still be replaced every six months to eliminate particles that may not be visible.
